You can delete all headers and footers, From First Page or From All Pages. This article teaches you How to Remove Header and Footer in a Microsoft Word file.
For Windows:-
- Open The Microsoft Word File ,in which you want to Remove Header and Footer.
- Then, Go to the Insert Tab .
- Then ,Look For the Header and Footer Section.
- After That click on Header and then Select Remove Header
- Do the above Step with the Footer also.
If your document contains two or more sections and if you want to remove header and footer from there also ,then repeat the above process for each and every section.
For Mac - 2011
- Open The Microsoft Word File ,in which you want to Remove Header and Footer.
- Look for the Layout Section.
- Then go to Page Setup
- Then Click on Header and Footer Section.
- Under header and footer section in the pop-up menu select NONE.
- Open The Microsoft Word
- Go to Insert Tab
- Then go to Header & Footer .
- On the right side of the document at the top ,Click on OPTIONS
- Then Click on Remove Headers and Footers.
For Mac - Newer Versions
- Open The Microsoft Word File ,in which you want to Remove Header and Footer.
- Then , Go to Insert Tab.
- Select Header or Footer option .
- And then select the Remove Header or Remove Footer option.
If the document has more than one sections , then repeat the above process for each of the section.

For Windows
- Open the First Page of the Word file.
- Look for the Header & Footer section.
- Double Click on that.
- Then , from the options Select –Different First Page.
- After Doing So , Press Esc key to exit from there.
After Doing the above Process the Header &Footers will be removed from the first page of the Word File.
- Note- If you want to keep Header & Footer only on the first page , then go the header and footer section on the other pages and delete that from information from there.
For Mac
- Open the first Page in the Word File.
- Double Click on The Header or Footer Tab.
- After that, Select different First Page.
The Content of Header and Footer From the first Page is removed Now !
- Open Ms Word and then stay at the first page.
- Then in the Insert Tab , Look for the Header & Footer Section.
- On the right side , of the word document,at the top Select Options.
- Then Click on different Front Page.
After Doing so , The Header & Footer will be removed from the first page of Word File.
