Socialdraft is useful for writers who are constantly on the go and cannot always find time to browse through their Medium feeds. If you’re one of them, this service will save you some precious minutes while still keeping your social media accounts active.
2. Engage with your followers.
One of the best ways to get people to notice you is by being active with your readers. This can be done by liking, replying or even commenting on their messages or posts. It will not only make them feel appreciated but it will also allow them to see that you are approachable, should they need help with something.
3. Stay away from over marketing.
One of the most annoying things on social media is when users try too hard to market themselves or their products/services even though it’s not appropriate for the situation. Being on social media means being accessible to everyone around the world, including people with different ages and backgrounds. So why not have fun with them? Go ahead and post about memes, videos and other stuff that you know your readers will enjoy.
6. Engage with big names.
One of the best ways to gain followers on Medium is by interacting with well-known writers and bloggers. This can be done by simply sharing their posts and messages early before others do so that they would notice it and eventually follow you back.

This article is meant to be a brief and simple guide about how to gain followers for your Medium blog.
The reason for writing this article is that I have been getting a lot of questions from people, asking me how to get more followers on Medium. In this guide, I will teach you the steps you need to take in order to grow your followers fast and organic.
1) First off you need a good-looking website. There are plenty of website templates on Themeforest that you can buy or just some quick and free alternatives, such as this good looking website: https://aivlasoft.com/
Make sure to choose a template that looks professional and is responsive(mobile friendly). It’s very important for your blog to be mobile friendly because more than 50% of the traffic on Medium is mobile.
2) You need to create an account on marekurzewski.pl and use my link in order to get 10 extra followers for your blog. If you don’t want to use it, just go ahead and register using any other link that’s not mine.
3) Write some articles. Just pick any topic that would be fun for you. I advise you to write about your experiences or hobbies(something that people can relate to). During my time on medium I have noticed a few things that people do which seems to boost their follower count. This is probably not news to anyone but it can be nice to know what works and what does not. 1: never talk about your achievements People don’t like knowing what you have done in life or how much money you make or how popular you are in real life. I mean people might like that, but no one will follow you for that reason. 2: Character is the key to success This is pretty self-explanatory i think, nobody likes reading an article about how much money someone has when they can just read it on their linkedin profile. The only things people want to know about you are your passion, strengths and weaknesses. 3: Quotes are important! This one might be hard for most people but if you can nail this down it will help gain followers quickly. People love quotes because they can use them on their Twitter/Facebook/Tumblr etc… But the thing is people need to know the source, so you can’t just post a random picture of some quotes and expect people to be all over it. You need to preface the quote with the person who said it. 4: Opposite is true! This one can be hard for some people but if you do this right your follower count will skyrocket. People don’t like reading positive things about you, they like reading negative things about you. Just make sure to balance it out with some positives here and there! 5: Keeping it short is the key People don’t want to read long articles, especially on mediums because it’s public content. Keep your posts to around 500 words, if you go over 1000 people will leave and unfollow you. 6: The cover photo is very important! If you have a picture of your face on the front people will think you’re an idiot, so it might be a good idea to use a picture of your dog or something else that represents you. It helps if the picture relates to what you are writing about as well! 7: Be controversial! People love controversy, if you talk about a political topic people will jump all over it. This is the same for any subject. If you keep your article about the subject and stay away from giving opinions this can work very well.
